He spent almost two years at Fort Stewart, Ga., before finding out his 39th Artillery Regiment was about to ship out for Iraq.

Saying he didn’t want to kill Iraqis, Cornell deserted and headed to Canada.

In this country, he spent nearly three years working at a grocery store on Gabriola Island in British Columbia, making fast friends with residents there.

Cornell applied to stay in Canada but was deported, then subsequently jailed in the U.S. for desertion. He was sentenced to a one-year jail term, a felony conviction that would have blocked his re-entry to Canada.

“They obviously took advantage of this disaster,” Marcal Izard, a spokesman for the International Red Cross, said.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper visited the jail in Port-au-Prince and filed a report Friday. “We heard the prison was destroyed. We didn’t realize we’d find the door wide open,” he said.

Specificaley, the punishment for being poor in this country. By being poor and not being capable of purchasing the obamacare, you will be fined and/or imprisoned. This concept goes back to the days in England when people were placed in prison for not being able to satisfy a financial obligation. When this starts to occur the exisitng prison system will not be able to support the huge demand for obamacre criminals. Will the criminals be considered felons or misdimeanors?

If you are looking for an investment opportunity, invest in all businesses related to building, running and supporting prisons. Let me use some fantasy statistics for clarification sakes.

Akmal Shaikh, 53, was put to death by lethal injection just after 4am at Xishan detention centre in the western Urumqi province.

In a statement shortly after Mr Shaikh’s death, the Prime Minister said he condemned the execution ‘in the strongest terms’. He said he was ‘appalled and disappointed’ that persistent requests for clemency have not been granted.
